Guests of Honor
Each year Conduit brings in guests from around the nation for the enjoyment of fans. Last year we had Alexis Cruz who played Skara on Star Gate SG1, New York Times Best Selling Author Larry Correia, Academic Guest of Honor Heather Joseph-Witham, and local author Paul Genesse
We have three great guests of honor lined up for CONduit 25 There and Back Again Jane Lindskold, Larry Nemecek, and Jessica Douglas will be participating in panels and other events throughout the convention.
Jane Lindskold started publishing stories in 1992, and she published her first novel, Brother to Dragons, Companion to Owls in December, 1994. In her Athanor series, she writes about the creatures of legend — shape-shifters, satyrs, merfolk, and unicorns — who have sworn to keep their existence hidden from a human race prone to kill what it does not understand. In her Firekeeper Saga, she writes about a woman who discovers that politics among the wolves she was raised by and politics among human royalty are not so different.
Author, editor, interviewer, archivist, host, producer, voiceover, actor—Larry “Dr. Trek” Nemecek worked in “Trekland” for over 20 years. He wrote the classic “Next Generation” Companion and the new “Stellar Cartography” map/book set, worked on “Star Trek: The Experience” in Las Vegas and world tours, edited Communicator magazine and writes in Star Trek mag today—and played Dr. McCoy in two episodes of Geekie Award-winning Star Trek Continues online. His “Trekland” blog of vidchats and “Trekland On Speaker” remastered interview CDs bridge Star Trek old and new—as does his documentary project , the 1982 meltdown-turned-miracle “Con of Wrath.” Larry is also spokesman for the new “Enterprise in Space” student science/sci-fi homage nonprofit space orbiter.
From beautiful fantasy scapes to portraits of fae other wonderous creations. Jessica Douglas is a welcome addition to the trio of Guests of Honor for CONduit 25.
