Poetry Contest

- Poets may submit up to 4 poems. The poems together count as one entry. Only one entry per person, please. Each poem should include the author's name. A cover sheet should include the author's name, address, and email address.
- Submit poems electronically (.pdf format) or in print to elvenlights@gmail.com or to CONduit Contests c/o Heather Monson P.O. Box 360 Orem, UT 84059.
- Poems must be received no later than May 1, 2013. Poems received after this date will not be considered for this year's contest.
Short Story Contest

- Your story should be 7,500 words or less.
- Your story must include a correctly completed contest entry form in order to be considered. Make sure you have checked the contest for which the story should be considered. You may enter more than one contest, but be sure to include an entry form with each entry, so that we know which story goes to which contest. No more than one entry per person per contest, please.
Iron Fig Painter

Think you can dry bush and mod like it’s nobody’s business?
Then you are ready for this challenge.
Twelve contestants will be give one hour to paint a supplied fig with ONLY the tools provided plus one ‘special’ ingredient that must be incorporated in to the design.
The only thing you can bring is your skill. Be aware your will not be using the top of the line paint, the best brushes or even the proper tools. You didn’t think it was going to be that easy, did you?
Miniature Painting Contest

Expert- Have received first place award and/or best of show or category type awards.

After about two years of cancer, Ruth Roper died this morning. She had done pretty well, until mid of last-week.
She worked with CONduit staff, Masquerade, bulk-mail, etc, essentially since the beginning of CONduit. Many fans knew her in Camarilla, SCA, and belly dance.
Songs of the season

Any number of radio stations will play the same tired songs, with a few new remixes among the list. Others likely feel the same way, since as I began to look for "geekier" Christmas carols, it was easy enough to find them. Now CONduit in no way wishes to discriminate against other Seasonal Holidays such as Kwanzaa or Hanukkah, So please leave a geeky song about your favorite seasonal day in comments below.
